kaitlin & chelsea take Portland, OR

for as long as i can remember i had dreamt of the day when my feet were on portland soil.
before the Portlandia craze, i had always always always wanted to live in portland.
if you know me, you know this.
in college i had a dream to open up my own coffee shop in that city (i know, many other's dream as well).
after many years of having this idea of what portland would be like, i was finally here.
i was in portland.

first things first, food.
as soon as we entered portland we hit up the food trucks in downtown.
we chose the grilled cheese truck (i mean grilled cheese on a rainy day is perfect in our eyes)
and this vegan ate bacon. when in rome, right?! (don't hate me PETA!)

next up, voo doo donuts.
if you are visiting portland this has to be on your list to visit.
their donuts are all so unique and oh so tasty.

stumptown coffee is founded in seattle but we were thankful we could find one in portland.
all of us are a big fan of this coffee house.
their smooth blend of espresso just hits the spot.
(my personal fav is the vanilla latte, and kaitlin's the americano)
spending a good hour or so in the ace hotel, sipping on stumptown, snapping photographs
and being with some of my favorite people is my ideal afternoon.

we found ourselves stumbling into imogene and willie.
imogene and willie is a nashville based clothing store that now has a location in portland.
nothing compares to their jeans. they are just too cozy and perfect.
bethany bought a candle & a hat for her boyfriend cory
kaitlin bought a pair of their new elizabeth black high waisted jeans
one day i'll own my very own pair of i&w jeans

a big thanks to our friend kevin who played tourist in his own city,
he snapped photos of us & for us
(he was gracious enough to share some of the images he took of us above!),
he was patient when we spent more than a minute in a clothing store,
and plus just sharing his company with us! we love you kevin!
ladies, he's single!

needless to say, my first trip to portland will not be my last.
although the dream of living in portland has come to an end (i chose seattle, sorry my PDX folks!)
i can't wait to visit again, stuff my face in donuts, and soak in this beautiful city.

thank you portland!
x's & o's,
chelsea diane

ps. for your viewing pleasure.. we kept it weird in portland.
